My needs
Island hopper - with ability to cross oceans - Bahamas / keys - Caribbean - atlantic (Norway, Scotland, med)
Want to fit under intracoastal bridges
Need a very short keel for local sailing
Hate the V berth - need comfort when sleeping
Dual helm
Swim platform
45 degrees steps down
Water maker - 12v portable
My solar …. No built in AC units
Electric winch .. Haliard and lines
Self tacking jib
In mast furling …
Just sold my Beneteau 38 - had in key west and was a great money maker - know the rev stream
She was smallest yacht in charter fleets - would love a 40 - stay below slip fee kicker - safer ocean crosser
With my current shallow after issues at my home dock and surrounding area - lifting or swing keel seems the best option.
Love the jenneau 40.1
My 38 with lifting would be ok but bed in bow was not the greatest ….
